PrairieCon's registration system was hacked by unknown and unscrupulous parties sometime during the evening of May 16. It doesn't appear that anyone's personal data was compromised, but we will be contacting the police in any event.

As a consequence of these events, we had to close our pre-registration system a few days earlier than scheduled. We will, of course, still be accepting registrations at the door when the convention kicks off on May 29. And, just to be fair to everyone, THE PRE-REGISTRATION RATE OF $15 WILL BE EXTENDED TO THOSE WHO REGISTER AT THE DOOR!

Despite the efforts of the hacker, we were able to salvage a considerable portion of our registration data. However, we are now in the process of contacting all of our pre-registrants to reconfirm their choices. If you are among those who have pre-registered, you can expedite this process by contacting Rick Baker at rgbaker@gmail.com (with your pre-reg number). Also, if you have purchased a pass, but not yet pre-registered on-line, don't worry. Once we have confirmed the existing pre-registrations, we will enter your game choices in advance of the convention's start date. However, you will still need to contact Rick at the above email address (with your pre-reg number) as soon as possible to make this happen.

Finally, please help us to get the word out; we still have contact information for some of our registrants, but much of that information was deleted by the hacker. So, we would ask that you please tell any of your friends who purchased pre-registration passes to contact Rick at the above email address as soon as possible.

It is truly unfortunate that our non-profit gaming convention has been victimized by this malicious act. However, we remain energized and excited at the prospect of our biggest and best convention yet!!
