PrairieCon's registration system was compromised by unknown parties sometime during the evening of May 16. As a result, we are closing pre-registrations effective immediately. We will, of course, still be accepting registrations at the door when the convention kicks off on May 29.

We are currently in the process of contacting all of our pre-registrants to reconfirm their choices. If you are among those who have pre-registered, or have purchased a pre-registration pass but have not yet registered on-line, please help us to expedite this process by contacting Rick Baker (rgbaker@gmail.com) as soon as possible.

It is truly unfortunate that our non-profit gaming convention has been victimized by this malicious act. However, we remain energized and excited at the prospect of our biggest and best convention yet!!

PrairieCon is Manitoba's largest and longest-running games convention. Established 30 years ago, we have built our reputation on offering fun and challenging games, great prizes and a spirit of camaraderie and fair play.

Our 30th anniversary event features a new and expanded schedule, with a record eight slots of gaming! Events will run:

• Friday from 6pm to 1am
• Saturday from 8:30am to 1am
• Sunday from 9:30am to 5:30pm

PrairieCon runs its events in the tropical paradise of Brandon, Manitoba. This year, the PrairieCon Convention is being held at Brandon University Gymnasium from May 29 to 31, 2009.

Our Mission

PrairieCon was founded on the principal of improving the gaming community in Manitoba and getting like-minded individuals together for some wholesome fun. It's an all-ages event and we make every effort to provide games that are appropriate for younger gamers.

PrairieCon is a non-profit corporation serving gamers throughout the Province of Manitoba. As proud members of our community, we are pleased to support worthwhile charities in Brandon and the surrounding area. This year, PrairieCon's 15% commission from the charity games auction will be donated to the Westman Women's Shelter.
